Dear Workforce Development Colleagues,
Welcome to the first NetAssets publication for 2010.
When the Stimulus Act was signed in February 2009, NetAssets shared important insider news about it with the workforce development community, and our readership statistics demonstrated how valuable it was:
- During 2009, NetAssets page views increased by 45%
- NetAssets published over 350 articles
- NetAssets readership, on a yearly basis, surpassed the 70,000 open-rate.
The Stimulus Act and the Department of Health and Human Services have placed enormous emphasis on Health Information Technology and the accelerated adoption of Electronic Medical Records, and these mandates have significantly expanded funding opportunities for workforce development professionals.
To address this rich new source of workforce development funding, NetAssets launched in October 2009 a series of a highly informative articles on these topics. The reaction of our workforce development readership to this information was met with some of the highest article open rates.
Net Assets' continuing series of exclusive articles, which will appear in every publication and researched and authored by industry experts from a variety of private and public sources, will assist you in understanding the training and employment needs of healthcare employers as they seek to meet the growing demand for qualified workers to support accelerated adoption of Electronic Medical Records.
We look forward to a rapidly changing workforce development programming and funding landscape and hope that you will continue to provide us with suggestions for new content and improvements to the newsletter.
If you have anything to share with our community, or have a situation or problem that makes you stuck, just send me a note at rkatz@hrms.net.
With all the best for this New Year,
Richard Katz
